Help collect signatures
You do not need to be a Colorado Springs resident to circulate petitions. Watch the short, simple training video before you collect any signatures. Please sign up only if you're committed to a Pikes Peak-sized effort to gather 100 signatures of registered Colorado Springs voters.

(Note: #5 is super duper important and easy to mess up!)
Only Colorado Springs registered voters may sign. If they live outside the City, or are not registered here, skip them. A signature the Clerk cannot match to a City voter does not count.
The signer must write their own signature, printed name, residential street address and ZIP, and the date. Do not fill those lines in for them except to assist someone who cannot write. Do not let one person sign for a spouse or roommate.
You must watch every signature. If you did not see it happen, it cannot go on your petition section.
Stay with one petition section at a time. Do not pull pages apart or add extra sheets.
Do not sign the circulator affidavit / signature block at the back while you are still gathering names. That block is signed only when that section is finished, and only in front of a notary. The notary must watch you sign it. We will help you find a free notary...and we'll send you information on that later.
After the affidavit is notarized, do not add any more signatures to that section. New names go on a new section.
Do not pay anyone, or offer a gift, to sign. Do not leave a petition on a counter for people to sign while you are gone.
Bring finished sections back to us. Do not drop them at the City Clerk on your own. We will arrange drop-off points later.
